Even more commendably, our engineer usually gives some professional suggestions on safety of the solar mounting structures, these suggestions are so valuable and indispensable for a project. We have a successful case of hot-dop galvanizing solar mounting where we helped a customer to reduce the mounting costs from $90/KW to $45/KW. In the customer’s original design, many rectangular tubes were used for diagonal bracings and beams. Our engineers simplified the design by adopting Cee steel for beams and diagonal bracings, significantly cutting costs. As the labor cost in the country is very expensive, so we suggested customer to use foundation of piles ramming into the ground. The type of piles in this project are U steel instead of normal Cee steel. This is because the maximum thickness of Cee steel is not more than 3 mm. But 3 mm thickness Cee steel can not withstand the impacting force generated from large pile driver machine, so we used U shape steel with thickness from 6-8 mm. We suggested customer to use Lock Nut for the bolts in one special part, as there is a small gap between two U shape steel, so there is no friction here. The screws in this part are prone to loosening and falling off under the gravity of the panels and wind speed over time. If the screws get loosening or falling off, the solar mounting structure won't be stable. So our engineer suggested to use the lock nut. This kind of nut is embedded with a nylon ring; when the bolt is screwed in, the nylon deforms under compression, gripping the threads to provide constant friction. We are very happy that customer accepted all of our suggestions. Order is under processing now. Except this case , we also provide customers with pre-assembled components to improve on-site installation efficiency and lower labor costs. We do both aluminum and hot-dip galvanized steel ground mounting, metal sheet roof and flat roof. Our carport design Corigy offers two designs for solar carports: the Y-type carport and the single-column carport. Both types combine practicality with an attractive appearance. The solar racking adopt Zn-Al-Mg steel material which the corrosion resistance is 5-10 times that of traditional galvanizing. And it is especially suitable for high humidity and coastal environments. Raw Material Preparation Substrate Selection: High-strength cold-rolled steel coil (S350GD + ZM275) is used to ensure mechanical properties. Coating Treatment: The substrate is hot-dip coated with zinc-aluminum-magnesium (Zn-Al-Mg alloy, typically composed of Zn-11% Al-3% Mg). The coating thickness is typically 60-150g/m², providing excellent corrosion resistance and self-healing capabilities. Uncoiling & Leveling Uncoiling: Steel coil is fed into the production line via decoiler. Leveling: Multi-roller leveler eliminates internal stresses and ensures flatness. Progressive bending through a series of rollers to form C-shaped cross-sections Automated hemming process Imported high-precision hemming equipment is used, and the forming angle is precisely controlled by a CNC system. A single-step forming process ensures structural strength and reduces weld joints. The forming accuracy error is controlled within ±0.5mm, ensuring a perfect fit during subsequent assembly. Intelligent punching processing Automated punching process Equipped with a multi-station automatic punching center to achieve one-time accurate hole forming. Digitally control the punching position with a position accuracy of ±0.3mm. The automatic deburring system ensures that the edge of each hole is smooth and flat. Cut to length Cut the rails to the required length. Precise cutting, smooth cut without burrs. Quality Inspection 1. Dimensional Inspection: Calipers and laser rangefinders verify cross-sectional dimensions, straightness, etc. 2. Coating Inspection: X-ray fluorescence (XRF) thickness gauges check coating thickness and composition. 3. Mechanical Testing: Tensile strength and yield strength testing (above 540 MPa) are performed on random samples. Packaging and Storage Packaging: Bundle to prevent scratching and label with specification and batch number. Storage: Store in a dry environment to protect the coating from moisture.
